I am Xichen Sun

I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Information and Operations Management at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University.
Motivated by my work experience, my research has a strong focus on practical and relevant operational issues. My research lies at the intersection of service operations and sustainable operations, emphasizing the alignment of companies’ economic and environmental goals via various industrial endeavors. My work applies a broad set of methodological skills, including game theory, econometrics, empirically grounded analytics, system dynamics modeling, and grounded theory.
I am also actively involved in teaching and services. I teach SCMT 364, a Core Business Knowledge Undergraduate Course on Operations Management at Mays Business School. I co-founded BV Startup, a Texas 4-H club that facilitates positive youth development in skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork through various entrepreneurial activities. I am a Community Partner of Texas Youth Action Network. I am passionate about teaching and developing the next generation of business leaders.
